Update these apps!

Whether it’s for your NetBeans IDE or your NetBeans Platform-powered Swing application, the Update Center is a great feature leveraging the module-model and its associated versioning to provide always up-to-date features. Now, wouldn’t it be nice if you could host and manage your own Update Center(s) (only allow certain modules to be made available to developers company-wide, handle your RCP application update infrastructure, …)?

It’s quite simpe actually. You can read more about it here and here.

I other NetBeans news, NetBeans 5.0 RC1 is out (books are being updated), bundling Sun App Server 8.2 (just released) and an iteration over 8.1 with Derby as the bundle DataBase. App Server 9 beta (GlassFish-based) is only a few weeks away.
